I did go back and watch it a second time, too! So many ideas and thoughts to followup on in my research! What was your favorite take-away? Also, are you a member? I haven’t renewed yet this year, I was waiting to get a RootsTech discount and then it was only for new subscribers. :( Next payday! :)

I've watched so many of their videos over the past six years, I should sign up. I kinda owe it to them. I do have a lot of notes on her presentation. I had never heard of Historic Inventories, and I liked the idea of submitting articles to a County or State Genealogical Society so it ends up in PERSI, though I doubt I'll do it. My biggest takeaway was using the information in the front of the City Directory to learn more about my ancestor's community. I used the directories. I've used the business section, and I've used the information in the front about churches to answer queries for my local historical society. Duh, why did I never think to use it for my writing?

I had never heard of Historic Inventories, either and I am intrigued. That’s mainly why I want the handout, to follow some of her links. I couldn’t find that other webinar she mentioned either though. They didn’t post all of the videos this year, I noticed. I wonder if there were technical difficulties. I wonder how long it will take to get those articles into PERSI though? We could ask the librarians at Allen County. I doubt I will, too! I can barely have time to write a book review for my local society and that is easy and short LOL… I just realized today that while I wrote citations for my city directories and copied pages, I did not adequately note where I found them, so it may be hard for me to go back to them… sigh…
