That's interesting. It seems that the global network of librarians 24/7 hasn't reached this part of the world (Wellington, New Zealand) ... Well at least I couldn't find it on our library website. How many countries, do you think it covers? It's a great idea.

Wow, I don't know for sure, but I will ask around tomorrow! It does say, "Global" when I log in, so, who knows? :) I have seen countries in Europe and South America, but not any on your side, Africa, Orient, Middle East or West Asia. Its really fun to surprise people and tell them I'm answering from Texas. They always ask about the weather. :)

I didn't know about the librarians being available all over the world. That was a fun rabbit hole you wandered into and how interesting to come across the Henry Ford Museum.

So much fun stuff out there to explore! Now I want to go see it in person! :) What part of the world are you researching for your family history?

What a fabulous program, but I'm not seeing it in either my own public library here in Berkeley California (berkeleypubliclibrary.org) or my beloved Family History Center (www.familysearch.org/en/centers/oakland_california).

I wonder if that's a Texas library thing that's generously welcoming questions from anywhere? I checked the Austin public library (our daughter went to UT 🤘) and it sure does have an Ask Us button...(library.austintexas.gov).

Could it be a state or local thing? (Certainly, it's a beautiful thing 🌈.)

Interesting!!! I will have to look into it! Perhaps there is a consortium or maybe we all use one particular chat platform. I will report back. By the way, Oakland!? My son is there! By chance do you know about the Ship Brooklyn?

That's fascinating, no I have to admit I did not but a few clicks and I found a little something... californiapioneer.com/historic-events/ship-brooklyn and en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Voyage_of_the_Brooklyn_Saints What an incredible story. Is your son involved in the project now?
